Ahmad Mu’az Mohd Nawawi, a prominent legal expert, holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from IIUM and a Shariah Legal Practice Diploma from UiTM. He is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with a PGSM membership since 2011. His achievements include completing the “Corporate Lawyers Training Series” in 2017 and earning a Compliance and Governance certificate from the Basel Institute on Governance.

Mu’az’s career spans various key roles, including Chairman of Council Member at the International Governance and Sustainability Centre (IGSC), affiliations with MICG and MIM, and contributions to MyCoSec and MySSA. His expertise extends from Shariah Courts to corporate law, with fluency in Arabic benefiting Middle Eastern investors. He excels in NPO incorporation and compliance, including state-owned foundations.

Mu’az’s influence extends to Waqf foundations in Labuan, notably contributing to one of the first public Islamic Foundations. His expertise shone during the 2017 Risk Assessment on AMLCFT for Non-Profit Organizations conducted by FIED, Bank Negara Malaysia. In leadership roles at MAHA Group (Co Chairman), Tawafuq Consultancy Sdn Bhd (BOD), whilst leading MAHA Lawyers as the Managing Partner, Mu’az combines academic excellence and legal prowess in governance.
