We had the privilege of visiting Al-Khair Foundation Indonesia on 29 January 2025, where we introduced IGSC and engaged in meaningful discussions on governance and collaboration in third sector. This visit was an opportunity to present our charity governance agenda, emphasising the importance of strong governance frameworks in the non-profit sector.
We also learned from Al-Khair Foundation that the Religious Affairs authority in Indonesia has categorised different types of Zakat NPOs. This presents an opportunity for collaboration, particularly in conducting a comparative study with Malaysia’s charity governance framework.
